Gentle pressure, warmth, and no rushing

Arthritic joints do not want deep pressure. Our therapists use Swedish technique — long, light-to-medium strokes on the muscles surrounding the joint — to ease the stiffness and compensation patterns that build up around an achy knee, hip, hand or shoulder. Work stays off the inflamed joint capsule itself.

A 45-minute Swedish session is $85 and a full hour is $109. Heat is often the difference-maker: a 70-minute Lava Hot Rock Stone Massage at $155, a warm mustard hydro-tub soak at $75, or 30 minutes in the infrared sauna at $45 before your table time.

Comfortable for older guests on the shoreline

A large share of our regulars are shoreline residents in their sixties, seventies and eighties from Branford, Guilford, Madison, North Branford and East Haven. Table height is adjustable, bolsters and side-lying positions are available, and you never have to lie face-down if that is uncomfortable.

Tell us at booking which joints are affected and what medications or conditions apply — your therapist will adjust pressure, positioning and heat accordingly. Massage complements medical care for arthritis; it does not replace it.

Frequently asked questions

How much is an arthritis massage in Branford, CT?

A gentle 45-minute Swedish massage is $85 and a full hour is $109. Hot stone is $155 for 70 minutes and a hydro-tub soak is $75.

Is massage safe with arthritis?

Gentle Swedish massage is widely used for comfort, but check with your physician first, especially during an active inflammatory flare or if you take blood thinners.

Will you press hard on my joints?

No. We work the muscles surrounding the joint with light-to-medium pressure and avoid direct work on inflamed joints.

Can I stay on my back the whole time?

Yes. Side-lying and face-up positioning with bolsters is completely fine — tell your therapist what is comfortable.

Does heat help?

Many guests find it does. Hot stone massage, a warm mustard hydro-tub soak, or 30 minutes in the infrared sauna before the table can make the session more effective.

What are your hours?

Monday to Thursday 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM, Friday and Saturday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Sunday closed.
