Program description

Program: Branford River Spa SMS Notifications, operated by Branford River Resort and Spa, LLC (doing business as Branford River Spa). We send transactional text messages to spa guests who opt in: booking confirmations, appointment reminders (about 24 hours before the visit), appointment changes and cancellations, payment or refund notifications, and replies to booking questions. Messages may include a link to the guest’s own appointment page on branfordspa.com. This appointment text program does not send promotional, marketing, or bulk messages.

How guests opt in

Opt-in is optional and is never required to book, pay for, or receive any service. On the online booking checkout at https://branfordspa.com/book, below the mobile number field, guests see an unchecked consent checkbox that reads: “I agree to receive transactional text messages from Branford River Spa about booking confirmations, appointment reminders, appointment changes, cancellations, and payment or refund notifications at the mobile number provided. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out. Consent is not a condition of purchase.”

Guests may decline appointment texts and still complete their booking. Guests who book by phone at 203-488-5902 or in person are enrolled only after staff read this script and receive a clear yes:

Would you like to receive text messages from Branford River Spa at the mobile number you gave us? We'll text your booking confirmation with your time and price, a reminder the day before, and any changes to your appointment. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe or HELP for help. Agreeing is not required to book. Do we have your permission to text you?

Only a clear yes is recorded with the date, time and staff member on the booking; otherwise no texts are sent.

After opting in, guests receive this enrollment message: “Welcome to Branford River Spa SMS Notifications! You may receive appointment confirmations, reminders, scheduling updates, and payment or refund notifications. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out.”

Message frequency varies with your bookings — typically 2–4 messages per appointment (one confirmation, one reminder, plus any change notices or replies).

Opt out (STOP) and help (HELP)

Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe at any time; you will receive one confirmation message: “Branford River Spa: You have been unsubscribed from SMS notifications. No further text messages will be sent unless you opt in again. Reply START to opt back in.” Reply START to resubscribe. Reply HELP to receive: “Branford River Spa SMS Support: For assistance with appointments, bookings, or text notifications, email branfordspa@outlook.com or call 203-488-5902. Supported carriers

All major U.S. carriers are supported, including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Boost, Metro by T-Mobile and Cricket. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Mobile information privacy

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories of data sharing exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Mobile numbers and SMS consent are used solely by Branford River Spa and our messaging provider to deliver the messages described above.
